Ways to Clean a Dirty Bathroom
For individuals who are particular about keeping their bathrooms and the rest of the house clean on a regular basis, professional house cleaners make this possible. Interior cleaning done through a maid service can make one's life easier. This option also ensures that cleaning tasks are executed thoroughly.
If you decide to go commando and battle a dirty bathroom on your own. Here are some steps to make the process more systematic. Essentials that you might need are the following: a broom, dustpan, paper towel, an all-purpose cleaner, window cleaner, air freshener, toilet brush, scouring powder and toilet disinfectant.
For most cleaning tasks, its best to start from top to bottom. This is also so that dust, and other dirt that will be wiped off, won't fall down on an already clean surface. The bathroom mirror is a good area to start your task. Spray a bit of window cleaner. The best material to use on glass and mirrors are newspapers or paper towels. Keep wiping until none of the streaks are visible. The next to be prioritized is the sink. Remove all items like bottles, toothbrushes, make-up containers and the like. Use an all purpose cleaner to wet the sink. Put a decent amount of all-purpose cleanser and use a sponge to scrub. Wash the sponge often and ensure that none of the cleaning solution is left to dry on the sink. Wipe the area with paper towels. If there is a cup or toothbrush holder also wipe them together with bottles. Return all items afterwards.
Toilet cleaning is next. Spray the tank and toilet lid using an all-purpose cleaner. Include the sides, the bottom, under the seat and the back portion that you are able to reach. For scrubbing the surfaces of the bowl, use a new sponge and rinse. Open the toilet seat and pour the toilet bowl cleanser. Using a toilet brush to remove stains inside the bowl. Rinse the brush with clean water after and flush the toilet.
Before cleaning the bathtub and shower, transfer all the soap, washcloths and bottles. All-purpose cleaner should be applied on the walls. While for the tub, strong scouring powder can be used. Use a new sponge for this area as well. This part of cleaning requires a bit more muscle work. Rinse with water after.
Lastly, sweep the floor, collect the dust and other dirt with the dust pan. Empty the trash bin. Toss the old rugs in the washer. Mix hot water and some floor cleaning solution inside a bucket. Use a mop to clean the floor and leave to dry. Replace the old rugs with new ones after the floor has dried. Spray a bit of air freshener into the air and take pleasure in your clean bathroom.
